From Rebecca Edmonds: " I like to think that my talks are interesting and fun. Karen Grant (K. 'Kal' Grant MBACP) will be at our November Kidderminster meeting - telling us about the therapies available at Aspirations Holistic Health, Stourport, and how she can help people with M.E. and FMS.
“Feeling unsupported, stressed out, fatigued, on edge? That's where I can help you. I offer wonderful unique treatments which are tailored to suit your needs. As a qualified counsellor and holistic therapist, I believe in the importance of treating every aspect of the human condition, the mind, body and spirit. I know we are so much more than just a physical body and I believe using a combination of treatments is the way to get a more effective result.”
Offer for people with M.E./Fibromyalgia or their carers:
“I am offering 5 spaces for people with M.E./Fibromyalgia etc. or their carers to come and have counselling or holistics, or a combination of both, for the duration of 6 weeks. It is on a first come first served basis, but I will then set up a waiting list and continue to contact clients when a space becomes available, although over time the number of spaces will be limited to two per week. It is on a weekly donation of whatever they can afford basis. There are appointments available on a Thursday and Saturday and clients must be able to make it up a couple of flights of stairs. There is parking at the front on the building.
I have given my number on the leaflets for the clients to contact me direct to book in and also for them to quote that it is the M.E. special offer, so I know they are associated with this offer."

Keith Parry of Telecare will be at our Worcester and Malvern May meetings: 9th, 10th May
We will hear how the Worcestershire Telecare organisation can help people living in their own homes to remain independent. Our InforME no. 48 gave extracts from a Worcestershire Telecare leaflet, and now Keith Parry will be joining our Worcester meeting on Wednesday 9th May and our Malvern meeting on Thursday 10th May, to explain further.
We have heard from Keith Parry that Worcestershire TeleCare was established in 1985 by the three South Worcestershire local authorities, and is now a member of The Community Housing Group, a Housing Association which is a not for profit organisation. It operates across the council areas that cover the City of Worcester, Malvern Hills, Wychavon and Wyre Forest.
He continued - “The service is delivered from a Monitoring and Response Centre based in Malvern, which operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. A telecare alarm is an easy to use personal alarm system which uses the existing telephone line to communicate to the Monitoring and Response Centre.”
Join our meetings in May, and/or look at their website - www.worcstelecare.org. 2012
