Worcestershire CFS/ME Local Multi-Disciplinary Team (LMDT) Service update -
The new team from February is:
Dr Helen Ayres - Psychologist (Part time)
Dr Sharon Collins - Psychologist (Temporary Locum – part time)
Karolina Kowalska - Psychologist Assistant (Part time, Temporary)
Emma Ironside - Psychologist Assistant (Part time, Temporary)
Worcestershire CFS/ME Service update received from Dr Helen Ayres, on 29 January,
As to date we have been unsuccessful in appointing an Occupational Therapist (replacement for Camilla Ballentyne’s post), we have recruited a locum clinical psychologist who is working with us for two days a week on a temporary basis until the OT/lead clinician post is filled. She is mainly focusing on individual assessment and review appointments. I am currently “acting up” as lead clinician and continue to run the information group sessions, lifestyles management groups and recovery after discharge groups. It is anticipated that our other OT will be returning to work in February.
We also currently have two assistant psychologists (Emma Ironside and Karolina Kowalska) who are working on a part-time, temporary basis who are co-facilitating the groups and providing some administrative input.
